FAQ on how to apply via SDU's recruitment system "HCM".
As an employee at the SDU, you are part of a large, international workplace with many job types and disciplines. You can nerd out and develop your professional skills together with colleagues in interdisciplinary communities while enjoying good terms of employment and a good work-life balance.
All vacant positions are published on sdu.dk with a deadline of at least 14 days. The application window closes at exactly 23.59 on the last day of the deadline.
You apply via SDU's application system (HCM) and will then receive a confirmation by email. You can edit your application until the deadline.

The hiring manager decides together with the appointments committee, employment committee, which applicants to invite for an interview.
During the job interviews, your professional and personal competences are elaborated and assessed.
The hiring manager makes the hiring decision in collaboration with the appointments committee, employment committee. If you are offered the position, it will usually be by phone.
The other candidates will then receive a rejection letter - including those who were not invited for an interview.
At SDU, union representatives/staff representatives (TR) negotiate salaries for most employees. The manager can only provide information about basic salary and centrally agreed allowances. If you want a qualification supplement, the TR will contact you to discuss the salary.
After the negotiation, you will receive a confirmation of the agreed terms. HR may require additional information before we draw up your employment contract. For student positions, negotiations are rare and offers are sent directly to you.
