
EUROsociAL+ exchange
In March 2018, SDU鈥檚 Gender Equaltiy Team joined a EUROsociAL+ exchange in Copenhagen with a delegation from Mexico's National Institute for Women (INMUJERES)
The delegation wanted to learn more about the framework and possibilities for gender equality work in practice in a public organization in Denmark, and GET was consequently invited to present SDU’s previous, current and upcoming gender equality endeavors.
EUROsociAL+ is a corporation program between Latin America and the EU. This program aims to reinforce social cohesion in Latin America by linking Latin-American and European public administrations and also by mutual learning and exchange of gender equality practices in both regions. In addition to their meeting with GET, during their two-day visit to Denmark the Mexican delegation also met with e.g. (the Danish Centre for Research and Information on Gender, Equality and Diversity) and with the . The delegation’s visit was facilitated by , a public international cooperation agency involved in development projects across the world with themes such as democracy, security and sustainability.
GET’s meeting with the Mexican delegation provided a fruitful and inspiring platform for exchanging experiences, challenges and opportunities across very varied regional and national contexts, and it also allowed GET to establish a great contact with Expertise France for future collaborations.
