    The Lundbeck Foundatioon supported the postdoc project entiteled ‘Targeting splicing for the chemo-prevention of brain metastases’ The project aims to develop a therapeutic strategy against brain metastasis by altering splicing of thymidylate synthase (TS) mRNA using splice switching oligonucleotides (SSOs).

    PhD defence, Lise

    Congratulations! Lise Lolle Holm successfully defended her PhD thesis today. Thanks to the excellent opponents, who did a great job. Prof. Javier F. Caceres (University of Edinburgh), Asc.Prof. Xavier Roca, (Nanyang Technological University) and Chair of committee Prof. Jan Wilhelm-Kornfeld (University of Southern Denmark).

    Best Christmas Decoration 2020

    This years contest of decorating the best Christmas office at the Department was expanded to also include home offices. Thomas from the Translational Biology section did a great job decorating his home office. Therefore he won the honorablel 'Gertrud Sand' price 2020.

    Today we met for a corona friendly social activity in the Translational Biology section. We played bingo online on zoom with Thomas as a great bingo host, many nice prices and great time together, while separated.

    SDU moves is an initiative that encourages all SDU employees to be physically active during work hours. In the Translational Biology section we all went for a nice long walk together.

    Congratulations to Kathrine, who successfully defended her PhD Thesis entiteled 'Dynamic rewiring of Metabolism during Starvation in C. elegans' today.
